Creating Your First Project
A project is where all the feedback for one website or video lives. Creating one gives you a dashboard where pins, comments, and tickets are collected, and it produces the widget you install so reviewers can start dropping notes.
Web project or video project
Before you create anything, decide which kind of project you need — the choice changes how reviewers leave feedback.
Creating a web project
Getting the widget onto your site
On the new project's dashboard, open the widget setup screen. Pinpoint gives you a ready-made snippet along with an install plan that names exactly where the code goes for your framework. Paste it into your site, then deploy the change.
Once the change is live, use the verify option to confirm the widget is actually running on your URL. Verification checks a publicly reachable address — a page still only on your own machine can't be reached, so publish first, then verify.
What you'll find on the dashboard
After creating a project, the dashboard becomes your home base for everything tied to it:
Dropping your first pin
With the widget live, open your site and click any spot on the page to leave a pinned note. That first pin appears back on your project dashboard right away, confirming that feedback is flowing end to end. From there you're ready to invite reviewers and start tracking everything to done.
