Customizing Widget Appearance
The feedback widget is what reviewers see and use on your live site, so how it looks and which tools it offers is worth getting right. From your project's widget setup, you can preview the widget exactly as visitors will see it, adjust its appearance, and turn individual features on or off before you share the site for review.
Previewing Before You Share
The widget setup page includes a live preview so you can see the result of every change without leaving Pinpoint. Because reviewers work across different screen sizes, the preview lets you check how the widget behaves on desktop, tablet, and mobile viewports — useful for confirming the launcher and feedback panel stay reachable on smaller screens.
Adjusting the Look
Appearance settings control how the widget presents itself to reviewers on your site. Style the widget so it feels like part of your project rather than an add-on, then confirm the result in the preview alongside your changes.
Turning Features On or Off
Not every project needs every feedback tool. Feature toggles let you decide what reviewers can do from the widget, so you can keep the experience focused for clients or open it up for a technical review. Common capabilities you can control include:
Turning a feature off removes it from the widget entirely, so reviewers won't see a tool you haven't enabled. If clients only need to point at problems, you might leave pins on and screen recording off; for a QA pass, enable everything.
Making Changes Take Effect
Appearance and feature settings apply to the widget already installed on your site — you do not need to reinstall the snippet after adjusting them. Save your changes, then reload the live site to confirm the widget looks and behaves the way the preview showed.
