Creating Your Account

Your Pinpoint account is the starting point for collecting and resolving visual feedback on your websites and videos. You can sign up in under a minute with an email and password or with your Google account, and every new account begins on a free trial that needs no credit card.

Use this method if you'd rather set your own password or don't want to link a Google account.

1.Open the signup page from the Pinpoint website or the "Sign up" link in the app.

2.Enter your email address.

3.Choose a password.

4.Submit the form to create your account and begin your free trial.

Choosing Google skips the password step and lets you sign in later with a single click. Select the Google option on the signup page, pick the Google account you want to use, and approve the sign-in prompt. Pinpoint creates your account from that account's email and returns you to the app ready to start.

Whichever method you pick becomes your usual way to sign in. Use the same one each time so you always land in the same account.

What the Free Trial Includes

The trial starts automatically the moment your account is created — there is nothing extra to activate. A few things worth knowing:

•No credit card is required to sign up or to use the trial.

•You can create a project, install the feedback widget, and drop your first pin without upgrading.

•You can move to a Pro or Team plan at any time from the Plans page when you're ready for higher limits or advanced features.

New accounts are guided through a short onboarding flow that helps you set up your first project. To get the most out of Pinpoint from the start:

1.Complete the onboarding steps to reach your dashboard.

2.Install the Chrome extension so you can leave and view pins on any site.

3.Create a project and add the feedback widget to your website.

4.Drop your first pin on a live page to confirm everything is working.

If you signed up with email but try to log in with Google later (or the reverse), you may not see your projects — those are treated as separate accounts. Always sign in the same way you signed up.
